Support on common european strategy for sustainable naturaland induced technological hazards mitigation - Scenario

The project was addressed to develop a European roadmap on sustainable mitigation of natural and technological hazards and risks in order to: support future European research priorities for the 7th framework programme, contribute to European policies on natural hazards, sustain the scientific community by providing a strategic picture and support potential end-users / stakeholders. In detail, the research work of the Operative Unit was focused on the exposure and vulnerability changes which might affect future risk scenarios in Europe and on the impacts at wider geographical scales (national, European, global) of local events, such as a volcanic eruption of the Vesuvius, in the Campania Region (South of Italy)
