Following an extensive evaluation program, researchers from the Permanent European Resource Centre for Informal Learning (PENCIL) have identified instances of the relationship between teachers and museum/science centre staff in 14 European science centers and museums working at the intersection of formal and informal science education. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss how this relationship works in different contexts. We will focus on aspects that seem to support success or create barriers to effectiveness, as illustrated by examples from the projects. We hope to reflect on the ways in which the varied nature of the relationship is perceived by informal practitioners, teachers and researchers.

Abstract
Following an extensive evaluation program, researchers from the Permanent European Resource Centre for Informal Learning (PENCIL) have identified instances of the relationship between teachers and museum/science centre staff in 14 European science centers and museums working at the intersection of formal and informal science education. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss how this relationship works in different contexts. We will focus on aspects that seem to support success or create barriers to effectiveness, as illustrated by examples from the projects. We hope to reflect on the ways in which the varied nature of the relationship is perceived by informal practitioners, teachers and researchers.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
