The first part of the lecture develops the philosophical background, discussing seven actions to concept and practice architecture as language of peace: Enhancing the meaning of architecture – Enhancing the concept of landscape – Enhancing the concept of environmental identity – Reaffirming the cosmological value of architecture – Promoting intercultural encounters in architectonic and environmental planning – Enabling women's contribution to architectonic and environmental planning.The second part of the lecture displays two experimental projects of sacred spaces shared by all religions: - "On Death", A garden for the celebration of a secular death rite (by Donatella Mazzoleni, 1992). - "The Temple of the Silence",A place for prayer shared by all religions (by Donatella Mazzoleni, 2005).
