The didactics of the History of Ancient Philosophy deserves a special place in current discussions about the didactics of philosophy at university level. Indeed, even the teachers of antiquity questioned the content and methodology of teaching philosophy. The importance of this reflection, however, appears to have been rather neglected in university teaching of the discipline, which seems confined to the use of “classic” textbooks. My aim is to show the relevance and importance of the ancients’ teaching about ancient philosophers and the advantage of applying some of their observations today. Hence, an examination of content and communication strategies that actively engage students in the debate about the sources of philosophical thought will be discussed. I will also show the advantages of using technology and assess the set of basic and more specialist skills that students acquire in such a course.

Abstract
I will also show the advantages of using technology and assess the set of basic and more specialist skills that students acquire in such a course.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
