A 207 m long core was taken from the deposits of a palaeolake of the tectonic basin in the southern Apennines (Italy). Two glacial/interglacial cycles were recognized by palynological studies and variation of oxygen isotope ratio. Fourteen major tephra beds are present. The results of the multidiciplinary research place the studied sequence within the Middle Pleistocene. -from English summary

Abstract
A 207 m long core was taken from the deposits of a palaeolake of the tectonic basin in the southern Apennines (Italy). Two glacial/interglacial cycles were recognized by palynological studies and variation of oxygen isotope ratio. Fourteen major tephra beds are present. The results of the multidiciplinary research place the studied sequence within the Middle Pleistocene. -from English summaryI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
