The issue of climate change is becoming increasingly more relevant in the context of urban planning and management processes, especially in those places that are particularly sensitive to its effects. One of the most affected sectors is tourism, unanimously considered to be one of the main businesses on a global scale. In particular, coastal areas are highly vulnerable to climate and environmental impacts due to their peculiar morphological conformation, which at the same time makes them unique and appealing landscapes. This contribution aims to provide an overview of the European framework policies and actions aimed at facing the increasingly frequent climate and environmental crises along the world's most popular coastlines. In this sense, the Mediterranean basin offers extremely interesting perspectives: a focus will be on Italy and France as ideal case studies due to the very strong tourist vocation of their shores.

Abstract
In this sense, the Mediterranean basin offers extremely interesting perspectives: a focus will be on Italy and France as ideal case studies due to the very strong tourist vocation of their shores.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
