In the paper one focuses on modeling issues of special materials such as shape memory alloys (SMAs), with special reference to mechanical models suitable for implementation within problems of mitigation of structural vibrations. To this aim purpose, the superelastic property is specifically addressed, able to induce inelastic deformations under dynamic loading and give rise to damping and re-centering effects onto the structure. Original models under one-dimensional stress state or 2D models involving a kind of pseudo-elastic potential and multiplier introduced by the authors are referred to.

Abstract
In the paper one focuses on modeling issues of special materials such as shape memory alloys (SMAs), with special reference to mechanical models suitable for implementation within problems of mitigation of structural vibrations. To this aim purpose, the superelastic property is specifically addressed, able to induce inelastic deformations under dynamic loading and give rise to damping and re-centering effects onto the structure. Original models under one-dimensional stress state or 2D models involving a kind of pseudo-elastic potential and multiplier introduced by the authors are referred to.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
