The present work, carried out as part of the research activities of the PRIN 2022 SPLASCH and PE5 CHANGES projects, proposes a plausible reconstruction of the original configuration of the so-called Temple of Diana (Bacoli, NA) and the annexed rooms opposite, taking into account the sources found in the literature and comparing them with the results of the integrated survey carried out in January 2024. Thus, the virtualisation process employeded addresses several aspects of the ékphrasis through the use of algorithmic-informative modelling procedures, implemented via Visual Programming Language scripts within the HBIM methodology. Lastly, the rationale underlying the formulation of the proposed reconstructive hypothesis is displayed through a false-colour visualisation of the model that ‘reads’ the LoU (Level of Uncertainty) attributed to each modelled component by populating with numerical values of a shared parameter generated ad hoc. An additional descriptor was used to specify the literature sources taken into account to allocate each modelled element and whenever it was possible to directly validate the sources against the integrated survey data.
