There is an almost complete lack of broad-based studies of migrants’ attitudes towards the German language in Germany. The aim of the contribution is therefore the attempt to develop a framework of factors (questions and variables) which could be useful for the elaboration of a quantitative research through questionnaires concerning migrants' and refugees' attitudes towards German in Germany.
