The realm of punishment constitutes a complex system; one plausible narrative of it conceives prisons as scaled-down reproductions of urban systems. Grounded in this analogy, this contribution contemplates the vulnerability of prisons, presenting three projects devised with the aim of reforming the prison environment through architectural designs that fortify the existing spatial system while providing novel opportunities for social interaction and activities.
