The paper briefly examines the use of photography as a tool for analysis, verification, and definition of a design method by the Roman architect Luigi Moretti (1906-73). It focuses on how this use implicitly involves a substantial and necessary process of reworking photographs. On one hand, they become an essential support for the dissemination of his theoretical reflection in the artistic field; and on the other, they ultimately gain full autonomy as aesthetic objects.
