Note e considerazioni su quattro cartografie inedite delle reali riserve di caccia dei Borbone [Notes and Observations about Four Unknown Cartographies Regarding Bourbon’s Royal Hunting Reserves]

The recognition of four original topographical plans regarding Bourbon’s reserves of Lake Patria, Procida and Vivara, Ischia Lake, and Mortelle in Torre Del Greco – preserved at the Lucchesi Palli Section of the National Library of Naples “Vittorio Emanuele III” – shed new light on the study about the royal hunting and fishing areas and about the cartography of the Kingdom of Naples. Beloging to an already missing collection, of which the topographical plan of Capodimonte is part too, the rediscovered drawings give information whose interpretation can considerably enhance the broad and consolidated scientific literature about the Bourbon’s Royal Sites and contribute to investigating in more detail topics of urban history or shelves lines of research.
