The migratory phenomenon promotes spatial transformations capable of re-signifying interscalar relationships between buildings, open spaces, urban and landscape areas through the combination of the dynamics of “crossings” and “rootings” of territories. Abstract
The migratory phenomenon promotes spatial transformations capable of re-signifying interscalar relationships between buildings, open spaces, urban and landscape areas through the combination of the dynamics of “crossings” and “rootings” of territories. This awareness, supported by quantitative data and socio-economic investigations, deserves to be explored in depth by investigations aimed at understanding the qualitative aspects of the spatialities linked to migration. Architectural tools can identify the innovative characteristics of ways of living and outline prospects for environmental regeneration built on different scales. In this general framework, the contribution investigates the field of temporary homes for migrants as architectures that effectively assume a social responsibility. Through the analysis of completed projects, the aim is to demonstrate how temporary homes are candidates to become representative poles of a renewed welfare network capable of satisfying needs and embodying the dreams of a multicultural society.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
