Since 2018, an equipe of the University of Naples “Federico II” is carrying out a program of research and archaeological investigations in the so-called Temple of Asclepius in Pompeii (VIII 7, 25). In the framework of this program, excavations have been conducted in three different areas of the temple: the pronaos, the courtyard, and the so-called Caretaker’s room. The investigations have allowed to collect important new data about the chronology and the phases of this building¸ which is nowadays still problematic and not well known in several aspects.
