The article explores manufactured landscapes through the lens of territorial extractivism, emphasizing its impact on spatial justice, as human interventions reshape natural environments, often resulting in exploitation and restricted access for local communities. Using Campi Flegrei as a case study, the article highlights local activities like mussel farming, thermalism, and sea bathing, demonstrating their connection to a landscape altered by both historical and modern practices. The analysis stresses the need for equitable resource management that recognizes also the historical role of productive activities in shaping a landscape's identity. It also proposes new opportunities for urban and architectural projects, as extractive activities spatialize in the territory as complex infrastructures, opening to a project imaginary that operates in systemic and infrastructural terms, thus defining some key challenges for the project.

Abstract
The article explores manufactured landscapes through the lens of territorial extractivism, emphasizing its impact on spatial justice, as human interventions reshape natural environments, often resulting in exploitation and restricted access for local communities. Using Campi Flegrei as a case study, the article highlights local activities like mussel farming, thermalism, and sea bathing, demonstrating their connection to a landscape altered by both historical and modern practices. The analysis stresses the need for equitable resource management that recognizes also the historical role of productive activities in shaping a landscape's identity. It also proposes new opportunities for urban and architectural projects, as extractive activities spatialize in the territory as complex infrastructures, opening to a project imaginary that operates in systemic and infrastructural terms, thus defining some key challenges for the project.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
