This paper deals with the problem of angle and incremental range estimation for a frequency diverse array multiple-input multiple-output (FDA-MIMO) radar using a single data snapshot. To tackle the formulated maximum likelihood estimation problem, an adaptive monopulse procedure (AMP) based method, employing real slope/bias corrections, is designed. At the analysis stage, the estimation accuracy of both the devised strategy and its variants is assessed also in comparison with the Cramer-Rao lower Bound (CRB). Numerical results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the devised estimation strategies.

Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of angle and incremental range estimation for a frequency diverse array multiple-input multiple-output (FDA-MIMO) radar using a single data snapshot. To tackle the formulated maximum likelihood estimation problem, an adaptive monopulse procedure (AMP) based method, employing real slope/bias corrections, is designed. At the analysis stage, the estimation accuracy of both the devised strategy and its variants is assessed also in comparison with the Cramer-Rao lower Bound (CRB). Numerical results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the devised estimation strategies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
