This article takes as its starting point Dominique Dubarle’s important review of Norber Wiener’s Cybernetics (1948), in order to focus on the concept of cybernetic government and to show, from here, the intertwining of technical politics and science at the basis of today’s neo-liberal capitalism and the power politics that characterises it. In this context, the Heideggerian reading of cybernetics is still today confirmed as the philosophically most acute and far-sighted one.

Abstract
This article takes as its starting point Dominique Dubarle’s important review of Norber Wiener’s Cybernetics (1948), in order to focus on the concept of cybernetic government and to show, from here, the intertwining of technical politics and science at the basis of today’s neo-liberal capitalism and the power politics that characterises it. In this context, the Heideggerian reading of cybernetics is still today confirmed as the philosophically most acute and far-sighted one.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
