The industrial complex of the Manifattura Ceramica Pozzi is part of the great industrialization plan of the Caserta area drawn up by the Milan company Tekne since 1962. Starting from the Sixties, the main industrial companies will begin to install the new and modern factories, in the Industrial Development Areas - ASI, entrusting the projects to the most important Italian architects and engineers. In this wide context, Luigi Figini and Gino Pollini will be entrusted with the project of the Manifat- tura Ceramica Pozzi, a real industrial city divided into four large production areas and a centralized office building, for a total extension of about 1,000,000 square meters. The factory, located in the mu- nicipality of Sparanise, insists on the industrial area Volturno north and is conditioned by an extensive network of infrastructure, useful to maximize industrial synergies. The complex will be built in four years, using the most advanced building techniques to build simulta- neously the various production sectors, characterized by different structural approaches conditioned by the intended use. However, the production activity of the factory will end in 1980 and the large industrial complex will be subject to a long process of decommissioning and allotment, with the takeover of small and medi- um enterprises within the area. During this process, still in progress, the Office Building will be recog- nized as a property of cultural interest and subject to a constraint according to D.D.R. 15/05/2008 n° 306. Through this action to raise awareness of the heritage and thanks to the funding obtained under the Regional Law on the Quality of Architecture n. 19 of 11/11/2019, the Office Building is now subject to studies in the hypothesis of an effective enhancement and promotion of a contemporary work of great value.

Abstract
19 of 11/11/2019, the Office Building is now subject to studies in the hypothesis of an effective enhancement and promotion of a contemporary work of great value.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
