In 2019, according to the agreement between the Department of Humanities (DSU) and the Regione Campania, an activity was launched for the classification and the study of the Fienga Collection, one of the most notable collections of antiquities in the region. The activities saw the involvement of DSU students who took part in the survey and documentation of the artefacts. Taking advantage of the opportunities that technology makes available today, a database has been structured, suitable both for the needs of studying the collection and for the idea of making it usable on a dedicated platform online. The project will support the online catalogue with 3D renderings of the most notable artefacts in the collection to make them accessible to the public, who will thus be able to enjoy them with a 360° view from home or from their personal mobile devices. In addition to these digital products, a catalogue collecting the on-going studies on the archaeological remains in the collection will be published.
