Experimental evidence of self-transparency effect in a two-component heterogeneous polymeric blend (PMMA-EVA) is reported. The results of our experiment suggest the possibility to employ such interesting material in optical devices. We confirm that the thermo-optical behaviour of PMMA-EVA is determined by the change of the refractive indices of its components.

Abstract
Experimental evidence of self-transparency effect in a two-component heterogeneous polymeric blend (PMMA-EVA) is reported. The results of our experiment suggest the possibility to employ such interesting material in optical devices. We confirm that the thermo-optical behaviour of PMMA-EVA is determined by the change of the refractive indices of its components.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
