In the works of Elena Pulcini the study of the pathologies of the global age goes hand in hand with her attention to the role of passions and to the potentialities of Care. Much of her insightful political thinking stems from a close and thorough analysis of psychoanalysis and of contemporary philosophy. Particular attention is here devoted to her approach to Günther Anders, whose theories seem to prove highly illuminating not only with respect to the significance of emotions and imagination, but also with a view to his nonheideggerian interpretation of needs and of the conceptual significance of care.
