Anyone who has opened a book of Husserl will have been excited, disappointed or bored by the frequent use of examples from which to start or with which to illustrate long chains of arguments. However, this vice for examples is a symptom of a broader, and not always clear, view of the relationship between reality and abstraction, experience and concepts, language and logic.
