The aim of the paper is the development of an optimal design for the sizing of a three windings transformer. The sizing was carried out through the solution of an optimization problem so that the leakage reactances are available within a fixed range to reduce the couplings between the two secondary windings. The optimization problem was solved with a software that uses finite element method to improve settlement procedure based on a differential evolution algorithm. Starting from an initial population of transformers, through the differential evolution we obtained the optimal solution which fits perfectly the required specifications.

Abstract
The aim of the paper is the development of an optimal design for the sizing of a three windings transformer. The sizing was carried out through the solution of an optimization problem so that the leakage reactances are available within a fixed range to reduce the couplings between the two secondary windings. The optimization problem was solved with a software that uses finite element method to improve settlement procedure based on a differential evolution algorithm. Starting from an initial population of transformers, through the differential evolution we obtained the optimal solution which fits perfectly the required specifications.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
