In recent years, the use of high frequency transformers inside power converters has been growing. This is mainly due to the need to reduce the weights and dimensions of the power converters adopted within the electric powertrains of vehicles. The following paper presents a comparison based on the high frequency behavior between three different transformer cores suitable for high frequency application. The analysis is based on the use of numerical simulations based on analytical and finite elements approaches.

Abstract
