Interno Domestico e Verde. La Cellula d’abitazione per un Paesaggio Urbano Sostenibile

The contribution reflects on what it could mean to bring a piece of nature into the home, in relation to the categories of beauty and utility, with the aim of reformulating, also by law, the compositional and distribution system of the living cell. The discussion therefore revolves around the two typological themes of the garden and the vegetable garden as elements of the syntax of a renewed design process. The shapes of the garden and the vegetable garden, that is, in addition to expanding the system of cell functions, are able to decline, in terms of sustainability, the significant places of living, those identified by Cornoldi in the spatial themes of access, enter, welcome, move, look out, gather and seclude. The living cell, welcoming pieces of nature, becomes the nucleus from which to start in order to generate a sustainable urban landscape.
