Starting from the existing literature that focuses on the role of the use of new technologies in the cognitive, relational and social fields of individual development, this study intends to investigate the relationship between the use of new technologies and identity consolidation processes in a group of young Italian adults, focusing on an aspect not yet investigated relating to the identification of the functions that the use of new technologies assumes for identity development, in a group of young adults.
