The paper focuses on some practices of communication of cultural heritage that for the last 10 years have made possible new opportunities to collect, analyse and share information on arche- ological and cultural heritage in Tarragona. The city testifies to the art of building and the de- velopment of Roman urban planning. Tangible and intangible traces become comprehensible and accessible thanks to innovative technologies that rebuild the palimpsest of the ancient city and its amphitheatre.
