The goal was to build a digital map of Naples as it was during the viceregal age, the result of a partnership between CIRICE (Center of the University Federico II of Naples) and the Hertzian Library-Max-Planck Institut Für Kunstgeschichte. The aim is also to develop a digital interactive archive of the iconography of Naples in the modern times that examines the spatial persistence and transformations of the city’s dynamic and complex orphology.
