The reception of Vico’s thought in legal culture allows scholars to question the different perspectives in which a classic shows its crucial role in specific times. Among the general renaissance of Vico during the eighteenth century, the legal philosophical movement inspired by scientific positivism provides an opportunity to investigate law as a fact, recalling some of Vico’s deep ideas about laws and institutions. The essay aims to discuss this tradition, considering its developments during the twentieth century.
