The essay takes into consideration the concept of conscience as developed by Gabriel Vázquez with particular reference to the relationship with the law. Conscience represents the element that allows man to act in everyday life and takes on an essential importance in the relationship with the two levels of lex naturalis, i.e. primary natural law and secondary.
