The Resistance of Architecture

The book, edited by Giovanni Multari, wants to disseminate scientific papers in response to the international call, open to both invited and selected architects. The call wants to question and investigate on the architecture as "permanence" of an idea that is grafted into the complex processes of transformation of the urban and natural environment. The resistance of Architecture, is the order strategy still reliable today? Can the current conditions of architecture be traced to principles of order and to interpret the balances of a construction process that regulates the size of the architecture itself? The topic addresses the architecture that is not renewed but prolonging its existence describes a transformation of the city and the landscape. This is the idea of “RESISTANCE”, an unequivocal position of the history that allows the architecture to support the life in its development and to establish a privileged relationship with time. A process of knowledge of the architectural project that is the result of a collective and cumulative construction; this construction determines the invariants of change and describes the transformation strategies of the stratified environment.
