The restoration of the Pirelli skyscraper in Milan represents more than a simple restoration of a large modern architecture. The project gave us the opportunity to contribute to the Restoration of Modern Architecture research. The recognition of its values, from the constructive to the symbolic, the planned conservation and restoration of a contemporary building, the recovery of the interrelationship between architecture and the city as its landscape; there are the central themes of the research and of the project.
