The relationship between typical products and food and wine tourism is becoming more and more widespread and, given the peculiarities of the phenomenon, it can assume particular relevance in the development of the internal areas. The contribution outlines a picture articulated on the distinctive characteristics and the economic aspects of the system of typical products, on both a national and regional, and in the province of Avellino. Then it analyzes how these goods can increase and diversify tourist interest, offering multiple travel opportunities, aimed at discovering and learning about the production areas, also in light of the changing needs of the consumer/tourist, who desires, among other things, forms of consumption that bring to mind values of territoriality and recovery of their origins. At the same time, considering the now inseparable synergistic link between Geographical Indications and travel experiences, it has been highlighted how the enhancement of food and wine tourism can contribute to launching a virtuous process of growth of quality agri-food production, expanding its reputation, creating a positive return of image for the geographical area of reference, as well as to diversify rural economies, generating widespread benefits for multiple sectors.

Abstract
At the same time, considering the now inseparable synergistic link between Geographical Indications and travel experiences, it has been highlighted how the enhancement of food and wine tourism can contribute to launching a virtuous process of growth of quality agri-food production, expanding its reputation, creating a positive return of image for the geographical area of reference, as well as to diversify rural economies, generating widespread benefits for multiple sectors.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
