Using concepts drawn from the work of Michel Foucault, this paper identifies a variety of blendings in/of education related to the neoliberal classroom. It focuses on the use of teaching and learning software and a BLMS (blended learning management system) in one classroom in one KIPP (Knowledge is Power Programme) charter school in California and sketches a dispositif of learnification within which this classroom is imbricated. By following certain connections, addressing particular relatonships, exploring specific folds and hinges, that make up the dispositif, the paper demonstrates the condensation and inter-connection of things-people (including policy entrepreneurs, teachers, principals, animators, coders, software designers and data analysists) with machines, software, knowledges, organisations, reforms, morals, designs, events, money and emotions (really and feigned) – as and within a set of neoliberal moments. At each point in the dispositif, we can glimpse a relatively new set of players in the work of education policy and governance.
