The study focuses on the Royal Palace of Capodimonte; it will compare the palace as we see it today with project drafted in the Eighteenth Century by Giovanni Antonio Medrano and Giacomo Antonio Canevari and presented to Charles of Bourbon, but never built in its entirety. New archival documents have made it possible to perform a more accurate analysis of both the project by Medrano and Canevari and the second project by Ferdinando Fuga. The archival study and ensuing description of the two Eighteenth-century project is accompanied by graphic analysis to establish the feasibility and utopia of the first eighteenth-century design.
