In line with Abraham e Torok, the authors, by referring to the generational paradigm, trace the main theorizations relating to the secret in the field of family psychoanalysis. In particular, the transgenerational effects of not worked through mourning are taken into consideration, as well as the possible classifications of family secrets and their specific values. The authors propose a specific hypothesis relating to family secret and its effects in terms of unconscious family intersubjective functioning.
