La Supply chain quale sistema complesso: applicazione del modello NK all'analisi delle relazioni tra struttura delle interdipendenze e fiducia nella supply chain

We investigate the impact of the supply chain interdependence structure on trust at the supply chain level. Drawing on the literature on complex adaptive systems, we rely on the NK framework to model the supply chain according to the 10 interdependence patterns identified by Rivkin and Siggelkow (2007). For each considered pattern, our computational analysis gauges the level of supply chain trust as the opposite of the risk of opportunism by the supply chain firms. Our findings show that the supply chain interdependence structure is a major antecedent of the level of trust across the supply chain. In particular, we find that the dependent (centralized) structure is associated with the highest (lowest) level of supply chain trust.
