The term "renewable" in architecture is used exclusively in energy terms to indicate the use of natural sources of energy such as solar, wind, geothermal and biomass energy. The same adjective can be used in a similar and effective way to select the building materials that are made exclusively from natural materials. These are not "extracted" from our planet, but they grow on its surface. All this will establish a new alliance between building and agricul-ture in the name of nature. So nature should be interpreted as a factory of natural materials. The green building has now become a productive sector capable of great potential in the field of research and technological innovation that allow, for example, to use agricultural products such as straw and hemp for the realization of advanced and equipped extraordinary potential constructions. It is hoped that the numerous examples of application of these innovative materi-als can help to overcome the distrust of designers, construction companies and directors work, which often spills then on to customers. In this paper we examine a construction made of straw bales. This construction method was born as part of the movement of "green" self-construction that is firmly anchored in the culture of sustainable construction. This culture has led the construction industry to many useful ideas on energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.
