Nowadays, video game business surpasses any other cultural industry sector by volumes and revenues. These relatively young technologies have played, at first, a marginal role in the entertainment industry. Gender representations in gaming scene have not yet been deeply analysed, especially in Italy, as it happened for other media languages. In this research we will attempt to look at the games in a gender perspective trying to investigate the asymmetries found in the representations and in the games contents, especially when they are aimed at children and adolescents

Abstract
