Rielaborazioni dell'aition callimacheo di Aconzio e Cidippe nelle Eroidi XX e XXI di Ovidio

The story of Acontius and Cydippe in Callimachus' Aetia inspired Ovid to compose Heroides XX and XXI. Ovid's innovative treatment of this myth is based on a deep knowledge of Callimachus' version. If we follow the progress of Callimachus' text and focus on the passages echoed by Ovid here and there in his two fictive letters, we see that Ovid's reworkings of the Callimachean original mostly involve his varying, filling up, or overturning the Greek model.
