A self tuning system for internal electromagnetic compatibility of ac drives fed by voltage source inverters is proposed in this paper. It is based on a hardware equipment and a software algorithm, which runs as start-up routine for the drive. It performs the auto-tuning test on the power and control section of the converter and selects the optimal switching frequencies for the power modules in order to avoid internal disturbances in terms of EMI.
