As it is well known, PMAC machines are more and more used in a wide range of applications, expecially in the field of servo-drives systems. In the paper, the traditional lumped parameters model of the PMAC machine is reviewed and the dynamic and static armature inductances are introduced in order to take into account saturation phenomena of the main flux path. Experimental comparisons with the traditional model are performed.

Abstract

As it is well known, PMAC machines are more and more used in a wide range of applications, expecially in the field of servo-drives systems. In the paper, the traditional lumped parameters model of the PMAC machine is reviewed and the dynamic and static armature inductances are introduced in order to take into account saturation phenomena of the main flux path. Experimental comparisons with the traditional model are performed.
