I discuss three passages of Heliodorus' novel Aithiopika in the light of their connections with some poetic antecedents. The first of these passages (1, 15, 4) recalls the Hellenistic mime-fragment known as Fragmentum Grenfellianum, the second (4, 10, 5) looks back to Theocritus' Idyll 13 as well as possibly to an epigram of Asclepiades, and the third (10, 38, 1) echoes Euripides' Phoenissae.

Abstract
I discuss three passages of Heliodorus' novel Aithiopika in the light of their connections with some poetic antecedents. The first of these passages (1, 15, 4) recalls the Hellenistic mime-fragment known as Fragmentum Grenfellianum, the second (4, 10, 5) looks back to Theocritus' Idyll 13 as well as possibly to an epigram of Asclepiades, and the third (10, 38, 1) echoes Euripides' Phoenissae.File in questo prodotto:
