The work describes an experimental investigation on the different treatments used for reducing vibrations in the ship structure and noise radiated into living spaces on board. The various treatments are applied to a fast ferry deck panel in full scale and tested in the DINAV structural lab. Accelerations in the direction normal to the deck plate surface are measured on the upper and lower surface of the deck with and without the treatments investigated. In each configuration, two different effects are considered and evaluated: the capacity to decrease vibration amplitudes in the ship structure and the isolation realised between the structural deck panel and the upper surface of the treatment (radiating into the cabin located on the deck). A ranking is established among the various solutions.

Abstract
A ranking is established among the various solutions.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
