Franco Ferrari is not only a renowned classical scholar, but also a very accomplished translator of Greek texts into Italian. This paper focuses on Ferrari's translations of three choral songs from Sophocles' Antigone, Oedipus tyrannus and Oedipus at Colonus, and turns the spotlight on his skill and perceptiveness as a translator.
