In the context of Conde de Villamediana’s satirical poetry based on political themes, this article aims to illustrate what are the textual “signs” of the reality that allow the author to historicize his satirical attacks. In particular, the paper analyses two different authorial strategies: the first one relates to the adoption, by Villamediana, of the “déci-ma” poetical meter, as a privileged channel for achieving his satirical attacks. The second, however, corresponds to the different strategies of self-representation of the histori-cal “yo” into the space of the poetical transfiguration.

Abstract
In the context of Conde de Villamediana’s satirical poetry based on political themes, this article aims to illustrate what are the textual “signs” of the reality that allow the author to historicize his satirical attacks. In particular, the paper analyses two different authorial strategies: the first one relates to the adoption, by Villamediana, of the “déci-ma” poetical meter, as a privileged channel for achieving his satirical attacks. The second, however, corresponds to the different strategies of self-representation of the histori-cal “yo” into the space of the poetical transfiguration.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
