The Authors present a methodological proposal for the training of paediatricians in primary care, aimed to develop the dialogue with their dual user, the parent and the child. The proposal of a Psychological Scaffolding to Doctor Patient Relationship is based on the structuring of Joint Listening Settings (JLS) with the presence, as a consultant, of a psychologist. These settings, with their specific functions, can be useful to paediatricians and users in achieving some “psychological tasks” (ownership, cum-sensum, concordance), side by side with the “operational tasks” closely linked to diagnostic and therapeutic practices

Abstract

The Authors present a methodological proposal for the training of paediatricians in primary care, aimed to develop the dialogue with their dual user, the parent and the child.
