The goal of this paper is to analyse the experimental project “Diversity on the Job” (DJ) carried out in the city of Naples. This project aims to represent a best practice for the inclusion of LGBT people into the labour market. The programme was aimed at the creation of integrated territorial networks to support LGBT people in finding a job through the involvement of associations and stakeholders located in the city. The project proved effective not only in promoting the employability of disadvantaged individuals at high risk of discrimination (through orientation and coaching services, the realisation of internships lasting three months, job placement), but also in carrying out a capacity building action. The analysis show why the implementation of the DJ Project in the city of Naples has achieved a virtuous yet ambiguous effect at the same time for this specific territorial context.

Abstract
