The goal of energy efficiency is pursued with high performance materials at the cost of economically onerous production cycles which often impact the environment. In contrast, the use of natural materials and recycling is a much more sustainable choice starting from little energy-production cycle, construction site, implementation, useful life finishing with the building disposal. According to one of the central themes of the energy conscious design, the object of this present study consists in different models of building envelope, designed only by using natural materials and of recycling. The interaction occurs between brick wood-cement-hemp, mud bricks, cellulose fibers, mycelium of mushrooms, plasters lime mortar or clay. Some of these materials are raw products, so they have maximum sustainability, in addition to being completely recyclable. Some materials are natural and therefore are subject to chemical reactions which customarily occur in the environment while others are produced with recycled materials and /or zero km materials, and then they use a particular resource that is the raw material second. The study concludes with a series of comparisons that highlight varied performance levels, but still very performing.

Abstract
The study concludes with a series of comparisons that highlight varied performance levels, but still very performing.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
