Gestione delle informazioni e Situational Awareness nelle emergenze ambientali

In order to optimize the use of all available resources during an environmental emergency, resources allocation must be decided on the basis of reliable information; this means that information must comply with the reality in terms of contents and must be quickly and correctly interpretable by all the addressees. Roles involved in environmental emergencies management are many and differ in operational and decisional capability as well as in territorial location. In this framework, strict time constraints make the disaster response and containment actions a typical problem solving task, characterised by specific data f lows. This contribution proposes a survey of users’ needs which must be matched by functional and user interface characteristics of technical and organizational infrastructures, aiming at assuring adequate levels of shared situational awareness and decision making in all roles and peoples involved in environmental disaster management.
